Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Firstly, I would like to congratulate China’s 70 years’ development anniversary.
And let me express my gratitude to the organizer of this crucial forum for bringing together experts and scholars to discuss the different perspectives of modernization and development which focuses on a shared future for mankind.
I am delighted to be part of this event today to discuss vital aspects and different paths to the exploration of modernization that are significantly practical models of development for the developing countries, such as mine, Afghanistan, one of the highly vulnerable neighbors of China and a country in conflict.
All pieces and ideas that were discussed here, were very informative and have been well-studied and researched. These ideas have given us an overview and highlight how these terms have been implemented someway in the 70 years of China’s development. The rapid growth in China has been in fact due to economic development, poverty reduction and investment in infrastructures.
Further, I would like to add a comment that somehow relate our discussion to the development of my country, Afghanistan, a less-developed state which has common borders and shared history and common values with all its neighbors including China. The development in Afghanistan is critical in reducing violence and conflict not only in Afghanistan but also in the region, for which we noticeably need help and support from the neighboring states at some points. Afghanistan shares a border with China in the Pamir area in northern Badakhshan of Afghanistan, wherein the residents in Afghanistan side do not have any infrastructural facilities and suffer from poverty.
Here, I see a very important role that mass media can play as an essential and social tool to help build-up mindsets for a better situation to prepare and unify all potential forces to support the positive intentions of crossing to the desired stage.
Additionally, media helps to create momentum by providing awareness and publicizing the better side of a nation’s efforts and can be a crucial element for community bundling, building bridges and promoting cross-cultural understanding between the nations and communities. Thank you.
